Freedman's Bureau Act
The goal of the Freedman's bureau act was to provide relief to refugees in the south, in the form of education, medication, and land.
It was signed into action on 3-5-1865, and lasted for seven years before it shut down.
It made a positive effect on civil rights during the reconstruction, even though it didn't work out in the end it did show that the government cared about civil rights and would pay attention to the welfare of the freed slaves.
I think it helped integration by letting the freed slaves know that they were being taken care of. It was designed to provide much-needed assistance to refugees in the south which helped to re-stabilize the region after the war.
